Montreal advice please

Can anyone suggest a good hotel, near Montagne, which would be appropriate for hobbying? I am looking to spend about $1-150 US per night. Need: jacuzzi, nice view, good beds and armchairs, sofas. I am planning to go in time for the jazz festival, and spend my nights ordering "room service" 2-3 times from a variety of agencies and indies. also would appreciate any indie advice at the under $200 Can. level. Maybe something from the famous "spreadsheet? montreal-sex.com ? while i'm at it can anyone here reccomend a good radar detector? what's better valentine, or escort? i got busted speeding in vermont last week, and already have NY points. can't afford more. i am hoping to drive to montreal in under 5-6 hours. ergo, the need for radar protection!

First of all, Valentine is the best radar detector.

As far as driving up though, try US Air. This past April they had a special RT fair of $99 from LaGuardia. Hell, driving the 600 miles, at $.25 per mile (very conservative) would cost you $150. It can be cheaper AND much faster to fly.

Next, For $100-$150 USD per night you can stay just about anywhere. That's about $150-$225 per night Canadian. Do a search on "google" for Montreal hotels.

Hotel de la Montagne is right there. Chateau Royale is on the same block. The jacuzzi's the killer though. Hell, Hotel Europa is 2 blocks from there and it's about $65/USD per night for a perfectly good room. NO jacuzzi though.

Indies for less than $200/Cdn hr ? Hmmmm. not sure about that. Plenty of highly regarded and very beautiful agency ladies for those prices though.

Your best bet if Allissa , Emma, Frenchkiss and Montrealgirlfriends these are the top agengies in Mtl. 400-450 2hr min.

The less expensive ones are Fantasme, Gold xxx and LFMJ but choose carefully. 130-170 1 hr can.

I stayed at the Chateau Royale, and went through the yellow pages. The ladies on the phone were very friendly, and I basically interviewed them for what I wanted. I really didn't spend a lot of money. Also, I did go by a strip joint and asked some of the girls questions during their dances with me. They were open and helpfull. That is, if they spoke english.

Also you can even ask a cab driver about some of the houses. Mine was willing to take to one after my time at the casino. My friends it is legal up there. It totally changes the climate of oppertunity. If you approach the right person, you find out stuff the locals only know about.

But Littleguy is accurate with the costs.

Outcall, somewhat inconsistent but you will come across good looking young girls(like 18-23), some of whom are VERY good. Look for reviews on canbest and sometimes TER. Puts NYC to shame in terms of age, looks and serice per $.

Didn't realize cab drivers would actually give you some info about incalls. OTOH, I don't know that I'd be able to ask them anyway. (grin)

One thing you should know though. Unless things have changed, INCALL is NOT legal. Outcall is.

The Cab driver I met mentioned a couple of Brothels that he knew about. He stated that it was legal, and that there was no problem since they were licensed. The one spot he wanted to take me to was on the outskirts of town. As a matter of fact I did ask around, like very casually, and with a nod and a wink heard it was legal.

Sorry guts Incall is illegal also agencies that collect money from the ladies are illegal.
The only indipendants that work for themself are legal under Canadian law.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, I cannot say anything to the contrary with regard to your post. As I am not an expert in Canadian law as it applies to the “hobby”. However, in my personal experience, it seemed that the services of “a lady of the evening” was quite easy to procure in Montreal.

If anything, my experience was such that it seemed not particularly frowned upon, or almost expected of an out of town businessman, to seek such services- I am of course being cavalier here, but I think you get the gist of my point. Per your post, if the use of an in-call or agency is not legal, then to anyone reading this, please do not do as I did and ask the local cabbie, or anyone else, for advice on such services.

The cabbie thing comes from a trip to Jamaica, where I found out all the spots from one cabbie. And from spot to spot got recommendations on other local adventure destinations. Ever since this experience, I do spot interviews with selected locals whenever I am exploring a new place.

But the fact still does remain that Montreal does have independents, agencies, and at least two brothels. Of the three, we can say based on this thread one is legal under Canadian law, and two are illegal although it is a fact they exist.

PS-- Please note one of the brothels I refer to is just outside of Montreal proper. If your familier with Habitat by Moshe Safdie, it is in that general direction and about 30-40 minutes drive beyond it. The way the guy described the place, it seemd like the place in that Dollie Parton movie, "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas".
