You have to try Hempstead around really bad streets... Terrace in particular... though late night on Main and Franklin above the turnpike is the best....

Freeport near the rail.....

On Merrick Ave west of Valley Stream ( I believe this may be some town in Queens now) I was traveling the other night, and saw several black ladies walking the Avenue. I was going slow, windows down, and got a few waves.... but I had to pick someone up from JFK.
