Any former PENNYWHISTLE girls?

I wrote a thread about this now defunct place in the early days of this board. It was a Harmony-type place (Plus more) in Astoria. Think they got closed down during Rudy's 2nd term and place is now a cell phone store or beauty parlor. ( on 23rd St/ Ave.?)

Since I see several therads on "where are all the old Harmony girls" - thought I would try a Queens version - "Where are the old Pennywhistle girls? I remember a 20 year old Paige who gave a BBBJTC, a Russian named Natalie (aren't they all?) who went very far, and several other older Latinas there with no holes barred (pun inteneded) who I couldn't imagine not still being in the biz in some capacity.

Any ladies out there who used to work at Penny's, or know where some of them might be - still stripping or working in other capacities. Any other men with Penny stories to share?

It's been years, but I don't think club 23 was in the same location as pw.

Club 23 is located on 23rd Av, in the shadow of the EL

I don't know who owned it then, but a woman named Gina controls it now.

I've spoken to a couple of girls, and it seems that the place is trying to be "legit" now (after some previous run-ins), but I believe some hanky-panky goes on there every so often. I hear you have to throw $$ at the right girls. I haven't found the right girl yet, but I have had grinding sessions with a girl named Jen (blond italian)

I'm still feeling my way around the place, but there are signs posted that make reference to Pennywhistle.

honestly, i've never been to club 23, but have heard it's no old pennywhistle.

oh what a place that was!!! Wiley's and the Harmony and The Goats in Hunt's Point. The golden age of sleazy NYC stripclubs! All very different, and all very special. And of course there were other places that on any given night.............

But now, as many have mentioned, if it's mainstream, and it's in New York City, sorry, it just isn't going to be on that level. Underground is the only way to go in NYC.

But Jersey? That's another story.

that was the wildest of them all. Cuckoo's made Rah-Rha's look like the Debutante Ball by comparison. Star Wars had NOTHING on this place. But, ohhhhhhhh, the action!

Argleby...... Good call with Foxy Den, too. That back room must have seen an oceanful of spunk....... wouldn't want to have been the janitor there, but by all appearences, he rarely showed up anyway. Yeah, I guess FD has to be on the short list of NYC's raunchiest clubs of the past 30 years (the post-Times Square era).

I certainly had my wildest experiences with strippers I first met at that club, although most of the action took place elsewhere. I had a running commentary about that place going on the usenet group, A.S.S.C., back around '95-'96. Maybe I'll have to rifle through the archives and repost. Come to think of it, I had a wild time at Pennywhistles too.

This has turned into a pre-Giuliani NYC nostalgia thread. Those were the days!
