Any peep-type booths (movie or live) in Jersey? [Archive]

One is near Avenuel ave. on the south side of the road. No doors on the booths. sometimes there are wood dividers that say "in use-stay out" that you can place in the doorway to alert other patrons but lots of guys pass them anyway. Lots of lurkers in the halls which is fine with me but I'm not gay or Bi, just there for some alone time that will save me $$$ in leu of other activities. I don't care what they do in their own booths but stay out of mine, you know.

The other one I passed was probably the one in Edison (also rt 1) before you go over the bridge. Haven't gone inside that one.

I find that most of these places have the glory holes (at least on the island) in certain stalls. I just always pick the ones without them.

I'll have to check out the locations of the other ones you mentioned. I'm in Paramus and sometimes work in Iselin. Still learning all the areas in Jersey.

I think those are holes that go from one booth to another......if you want to share with your neighbor.

you're kidding...right?

well, the holes are round....probably a couple to no more than a few inches in diameter.......positioned slightly below waist high....

so what do you think would fit in that hole?

from what I understand, these are "adult bookstores" are popular places for gays to hook up....be it intros to plans for meeting up elsewhere......or for an anonymous quickie with a glory hole.......

There are also a total of 3 places in Passaic. 2 on Main Ave and 1 right off of Main ave. Alot of lurkers on the one off Main Ave, old men who like to watch as you have alone time. Also, seems like the doors have been removed from all these places, I guess its a new required law or something.

I haven't been up that way in ages, but years ago I went to 2 adult bookstores further down on Rt. 10.....in Denville, I believe. They were both on the westbound side - one was a small white brick building and the other had brown wooden siding. They both had video booths. I never used the booths because one time I was in the one with the wooden siding perusing the videos for sale and looked over at the area where the booths were. I shrugged my shoulders and said I didn't know, and he then said, "Let me know, and I'll take the next booth over." He then winked at me and walked back over to the booths. I left soon after.

I don't know if these places are still around as I haven't been up there in quite a while.

These places are very sketchy. I went to that same one up in Denville area off RT 10 awhile back. I believe its under construction now. I was browsing around the store looking for movies when I noticed the peep show booths in the back. There were alot of older men lurking around back there but I thought nothing of it. I went into a booth, and the door didnt shut all the way, it was broke. So, the other booths were filled and I decided to stay in that same booth. The door didnt shut and stayed partially opened. So, I put in a couple dollars and in a matter of minutes a man opened the booth door and walked right into my booth! I wasnt even able to really make my way out fast enough, its like he was blocking me from getting out. He started asking me questions about the movie that was currently on the screen, like if i was enjoying it. I than finally made my way past him and out of the booth when he spoke out and said..."i just wanted to watch you play with yourself"
That was the last time I would ever go there.
I dont understand why so many middle aged men lurk around these places and enjoy other men, most of them are grandfathers that are married! I just dont get it. Can anyone explain?

Um, because they're gay or bi-curious and have probably been living in the closet for their entire lives. These video booth places are probably the only outlet they have for their unconventional sexual fantasies.

Yeah, and Im sure that the word spreads that places like these are good places to go for some of that sort of action - much like reststops on the parkway or the turnpike.

I think that real old fashioned live peep shows with sliding windows and girly shows are pretty hard to come by these days. The only places I've ever seen or heard of are the Lusty Lady in Seattle and San Francisco and the Playground that used to be located across the street from Port Authority but is now closed. I'm sure there are a lot of others, but they just aren't around like they used to be.

there used to be a live peepshow place in atlantic city, there is still a sign, it says live girls, i stopped in about 6 months ago and the guy said the girls dont start working until 4 pm. i said how many girls do you have , he said 2. i dont know if they are still open but if your ever down that way, check it out. not sure of the road they are on but its one block up from the main drag that the casinos are on. this place is also a place to buy mags and videos,toys etc.

There is a place on RT. 22 west in Union called Video express that has a private swingers club. The membership is $50 for the year and they need 5 forms of documentation to make sure you are not LE. The room is upstairs on top of the video store there are tv's playing movies and every other Tuesday is couples night also on Thursday it is free for all night there is one night I think it is wednesday that is for homosexuals but we don't visit on that night and for couples night met a woman in the store that needed an escort so to speak

5 forms of id ? what kind of place is this ? swing clubs dont usually care who comes in they just want money. how many people are usually the average in this place when you go ? when do they open and close ? thanks for your help

In South Jersey, in Williamstown, there is a place that has live peeshows and two girl shows and "private" shows. It's called Les Gals. There is also a mini adult theater.
The shows start at lunch time during the week and early evening on weekends. Girls range from 5's to 9's. Some times they import talent. The two girl shows are $10 and last about 20 minutes to 1/2 hour each. They are performed on a stage with theater type seating (folding chairs) for the audience. The girls are also in booths where you can pay for a private show. These shows start at $20 for 10 minutes and can go way up there. From what I have heard, more can be had then just a show, but the price is steep, like 100 for a HJ and 200 for CBJ. I also have to admit, that I am not positive about the pricing structure as it was from an unconfirmed source. They also have video booths and there is definitely gay guys there so I would stay away from that. Surprisingly, the mini theater where they show the movies is clean and when I was there, had no gay stuff at all. In fact there was a couple there fooling around. Anyway, the place is on Rte 322 aka the Blackhorse Pike, in Williamstown, NJ. Just an FYI
