After reading that Jamie Gillis had died,I started thinking about the times I saw him at the Melody/Harmony on 48th St. visiting girls who worked there in that era, many of whom did porn films.I found this pic of porn actress/Melody girl Long Jeanne Silver without her prosthesis and thigh highs.It's strange,since I think now porn stars and strippers strive for the "perfect body" with plastic surgery and exercise regimens and that today this girl would probably have to be self-consciously edgy and turn her disability into a performance art statement to make a buck.Thirty years ago she was just Tammy,not a freak but a girl with "less than perfect body",trying to make a few bucks giving lapdances.

The photo is great with her looking right at the viewer who doesn't know whether to look at her leg stump or hairy pussy.

RIP Jamie Gillis

I remember him well ,,,,, especially in a scene with a then under aged Tracy Lords. I met him at ECVS some years ago and he was with other fellow actors but I had to get a picture with him as he was one of the greats.
