hi folks: stopped at the "island" yesterday, early around 12:30. same old, same old, extensive menu priced on the high the high side 150 for the half hour plus the tip. scale from 5 up to 9. did not partake. decided to venture to the local a.m.p's. surprisingly all 3 had a waiting list!!!! of an hour. will probably venture forth tomorrow. is anyone aware of any new opportunities in the area???

I believe he is writing about Pleasure Island near Newburgh, NY. This is a brothel masquerading as a strip club. You can sit and watch strippers. They get very close and intimate. You can have a lap dance. Or you can go to a private room.

As far as I can tell every girl there is available for everything. It's damned expensive if you ask me and for the most part the girls are of medium quality looks.

Nearby is Sunset Strip which generally has much better looking women doing the same gig. It's even more expensive.

There's a spot in Wappingers called Smiles. Been there a couple of times. Some nights the girls look pretty nice. The good thing is that depending on the girl, you can stretch a dollar with a 30 second feel. VIP is overpriced - $100 I think. Don't think they're extras at this place but when u are this far up north; your options are limited. I would'nt advise going unless you live in the area. Heard there was a spot in poughkeepsie but don't have any details. As far as I know (or heard) the AMPs in Newburgh are the best thing going.

From what I can tell it doesn't seem to be worth the 1+ hour detour. I'll probably try Temptations in Clifton instead.

This place usually has some pretty hot talent - I have been there several times and there is always at least 2-3 that are willing to go the extra mile. THe price structure is crazy though, more than what you can get an independent on the outside for. It is a good place to hang out for a bit, get a couple of good dances and move on - the prices are in the $300 range - nuts for a place like this

smiles in wappingers falls is in s strip shopping mall on the main road, but still a little hard to find. Pretty good for laps, fair time for usual price. The interesting thing is that the girls walk around and sit on your lap for around 20 seconds for a dollar (they will want three). Can be fun, or distracting if yhou're not into the girl. Yet, an inexpensive test ride. THe set-up looks like an old time bar with center stage, and the lap area is just off the side of the bar behind a curtain, so the bartender (and the owner who sits adjacent the bar) keeps an eye on everything.
