I really enjoyed watching the Eagles play yesterday, despite the cloud hanging over Tony Dungee's head.
What a week he must have had. His mom died on Monday, then the rumors of his replacement with Parcells began, trying to get his team ready for a rematch with the Eagles all in 1 week.
In his post-game news conference when asked about the rumors, he stopped the questioning in that area in perhaps one of the classiest ways I've ever seen. He said, 'this is not a funeral, this is a day to talk about the game'.
The worst part of the entire game? Let me put it this way, I don't like the trio in the booth for ESPN. They're idiots that can't stand to have a moment when nobody's talking.
They actually made the comment "Besides the Liberty Bell, the Philadelphia Eagles is the city's largest attraction"
First question. Who keeps the statistics that proves their statement?
Theisman and that Paul guy obviously don't like each other, the chemistry is bad.
Too bad I am too far away to get WYSP....even as much as I can't listen to him, I would rather listen to what's-his-name do play-by-play. The former WIP guy...can't remember his name. Little twit with coal black hair.
Anyway. If you've read this far, this is my effort to launch a thread to cause a diversion to all of the flame wars in NY and NJ.
