View Full Version : 29 John...Cozy Spa? Spa88?
Has anyone know or heard anything about Cozy Day Spa on John St? I called and they said it is $65/hour. 212-240-9483
Also, the place at 29 John Street. the higher floor massage joint has raised their entry fee to 100. it went from 80 just in the summer to 90 and now 100. i'd say that is getting pretty expensive for a 5 minute rubdown and nude massage and hr. plus another 100 tip for the nude massage.
Anymore info about Spa 88 on Fulton St? I would love to hear about it. I have seen a few guys coming out of there...it seems like a very legit place but I just have a feeling.

Cozy is the stadard deal with R&T and roamig if they like you. It has to be one of the cleanest places around. Korean operation. The only drawback is that the staff are getting on in age a little. The best part is the full body scrub. It's the best and longest I've had anywhere. You emerge glowing.

The one that I have frequented is Wall Street Spa. It's @ 40 Exchange pl on 2nd floor. a nice lil R&T place though...
The receptionist is cute, I did ask once if she'd do the theropy, but she declined. :( no harm in trying right?

There's a place on Liberty St just east of Broadway. I left the address at work, but you'll find it next to a deli there on the north side of Liberty St. The phone number is on a sign out front. Do the legwork and you'll get it. There's usually two girls there. The steady is a little overweight and has what looks and FEELS like c-cups, but has great technique for R&T. Very friendly also. Other girls rotate through, don't have anything to say about them since I only see the one girl.

The house gets .4 for 1/2 hour, .7 for one hour. There was never a request for a tip. Mind you, it's purely R&T, but I usually give her .2 or .3. Good luck.

Went to liberty east opf b-way 'bout 15 min ago.
found a sign posted out front, next to a delion the north side of the St.
Called the number on the sign. "Acupuncture only, No masage".
the good news is they take insurance.
Is this place a doppelganger? Was I duped or did somone else Balk?
Could find no other place on that block.
Please let me know if I went to the wrong place, although i doubt it.

I went there, but it was several years ago, so my info is outdated. Back then, it was a "very medical" setup, but they had one or two girls giving massages. I think it was on the 5th floor (or 4th?).
Intersting typo though:
"b-way ..... next to a delion the north side of the St."
I used to get breakfast from Delion (bway and Waverly) all the time!!!! You think the name is a joke? ( "Delion Bway?)

I haven't been to the Liberty Street location in 1+ years, but they were definitely a massage place, with fairly limited repetoire. And on the more expensive side at that.
They have (?had) a sister operation in Elmhurst (Broadway, down the street from the hospital), where a little more hanky panky was possible.

Any massage aspect of the Liberty and Elmhurst places went UTR. I don't think the owners advertise at all any more, and they definitely do not advertise massage. They obviously want no trouble from LE. A few years ago they ran a great AMP on John Street.

Sounds like the place, if I get a chance tomorrow I will try to get the address, but I can't guarantee it. I'm planning to work through lunch so I can get to ASS-C a little early.
Called the number on the sign. "Acupuncture only, No masage".
If the number is 212-233-**** you got the right place. Make an appointment next time.
the good news is they take insurance.
UTR, UTR, UTR. The Doctor there sees patients, the massage therapists.....

Your info is old but not outdated. Yes, it still is "very medical", has two girls, and is on the 4th floor.

Has anyone been to any of the places discussed in this thread lately?
The reason I ask is that soon after I discussed the Liberty St. spot in this thread the sign in the window that's been there for at least two years came down (we discussed the sign here). Then, I called the spot today looking to get a little relief only to find that they will now only take appointments with the doctor for acupuncture, and the girl whom I have seen regularly for two years is not there nor have they ever heard of her (we discussed her name here)!!!! I suspect our discussions here have lead to a "restructuring" at that spot. I was wondering if there's any pattern here with the other spots discussed? If the "restructuring" is permanent, I sincerely apologize to anyone who may have been a client there for discussing the place here.
Slinky, any chance of deleting my earlier posts on the subject? (I know, I know the damage may already be done, but at least we could un-memorialize the "smoking gun").

Went to Cozy day Spa due to good reviews and I have to say it was seriously dissappointing. I had Jenny and she gave a weak imitation of a massage which led me to believe at least she would finish strong so to speak. Boy was I wrong, not only was the massage weak, it had no sensuality and no finish other than to say "I done". I don't think I'll go back. If anyone knows a sure thing (as it definitely seems that YMMV in a big way at this place) please let me know.
Thanks

I think the good reviews was for Cozy of 29 John. Not Cozy Day Spa which is further east.
Could you specify if it was Cozy or Cozy Day???
I want to clarify to save money. ;)

You are right , it was Cozy Day Spa at 112 John. Very disappointing. I did walk over and take a look at 29 John. This appears to be a RMP. She wasn't quite as pretty as she could be and she was a little old (maybe 40), but she didn't look too bad. I think it's worth a try. If I go I'll let you know. Please do likewise.

Doesn't look like the directions to the Gem are working. Where's the spot on Water & John, I'll keep my eye on it and if it looks good maybe I'll take another for the gang.

Is Wall Street Spa the same place as Spa 88? Thats what comes up when I do a web search. Also any info extra service pricing?
Thanks in Advance
Decided to take the ride up to 25 Howard for a first try today. Standard deal... woman was older... maybe 5 at most 6. Massage was pretty good... I liked the hot towel near the end. Tug was nothing special... but for .3 for half hour with no tip insinuated or waited for.... so none was given :)

How are the ladies at 40 Exchange? I've been to the building but are they listed with a different name? It's convenient for me to get some relaxation during lunch time.

Ladies are not all that, but does the job u know what I mean ;-)
It's strictly R&T, no fs....
It's right there on 2nd floor can't miss it... It also has a tanning area so you probably see lots of hot girlies trying to get tanned at the same location...
All in all a nice place...
The rate is .5 for 30 and .6 for 40

Water and John:
2nd floor next to chinese restaurant; truly a nail salon that advertises massage....forget about it!
Cozy Day Spa: On John Between Pearl and Gold:
2nd floor above Subway Sandwiches...Haven't been there in a while; primarily a R&T Korean operation witha good body scrub; One time did enjoy dining at the Y, but that seems the exception.
Need more info please

The menu looked the same, but I believe the prices are a little lower. Quality of food is hard to gauge, I had different dishes each time I've went, but I have no complaint at either of them. It's noisier than the big MJ but I like the saloon-like atmosphere. I liked the service better at the John St MJ better also-they seemed younger and quicker. Mind you that I have only been at both of them for lunches.

Once again you are right. I haven't been downtown in a while because every place I went to was tres disappointing.
Many more choices in midtown. Visiting ladies usually stay in midtown - and visiting ladies can be a great source!
Keep up the good work, Biggod.

I am a newcummer to UG and work downtown. After reading this thread, but with no prior hobby exp under my belt, I wanted to share a very enjoyable first experience yest at Wall Street Spa, 40 Exchange Place, 2nd fl. This is an AMP, .7 for 1 hour massage. No advance discussion of extras but I left .4 on the table. No discussion of extras, but I could tell that I would not be disappointed. Received very good full body massage, with plenty of sensuality, followed by arousing LT massage, the flip, more LT, and a robust conclusion in the hands of an experienced practicioner. All in all a very sensual experience, which is all I was looking for, and exactly what I was looking for. I'm new to this stuff and my base of exp is extremely limited, but I found this to be most enjoyable.
BTW, Spa 88, located at 88 Fulton Street, with the web address wallstreetspa.com is a completely different place. I have been to Spa 88 a few times, for the Russian sauna, not massage. I suppose anything can happen in a massage but the vibe I get is that this place is fully legit.

Beginner's mistake perhaps but I didn't get the woman's name. Something tells me I'll be back though . . . . My massage therapist wasn't "hot," but attractive enough (age 35-40?) and she had experienced hands and obviously knows how to massage a man's body -- it was very sensual and erotic. (For comparison, I visited Amsterdam last Spring & met a knock out in the famous Red Light district, where FS is legal -- an extremely hot, model-type -- but as much as I am a visual person & she was GREAT to look at, to me it wasn't very exciting.)
Anyway, sorry I can't help with the name. If you're in the area give it a shot. 'Easy to see how this stuff can get addictive.

Finally find the time to check out 40 xch. Setup not too sophisticated. No shower. Cheesy wooden board as massage table. Lady informed 29, more like 35. Forgot her name, weak massage nothing to write about. Roaming was allowed but the facility was so cold she nicely asked me to stop. Ending was good not great. She kept staring real close as if she was about to BBBJ my little general. .7 house & .4 tip. I probably would go back for convenience.

I have been meaning to try Cozy Spa for sometime. I have this place I sometimes go for Karaoke called Lemongrass Grill which is just a couple blocks away.
There is a beautiful Thair bartender there. I think the regulars call her Sonja. Maybe I will go watch her serve drinks for a few mins, then go up and fantasize that the old Korean hag tugging on my pickle is the bartender.
seriously though, anyone find much value in this place (compared to the other AMPs) in Manhattan?

I would expect that tips are expected as well. Do they perform in the nude or dressed?

Decided to check it out. Prior comments mentions this is Korean place and I can't disagree although my gal giggled when I spoke my limited Korean and said she was Japanese... looked it too. Fellas, before you jump down my throat, I know the difference and I basically said to her "what's a nice Japanese back walker doing in a place like this?" She was about 40 and still very attractive or I would have split. Anyway, place is very cozy and clean, had a nice steam in a little private stall and headed for the rub. Fantastic masssage, very thorough and professional. Nice prostate work, thought the asian was coming to no avail, the flip, a bit of oral sustenance from her nice titties and release. Massage continues topside (always classy) and finishes a little past the hour. House .7, tip .5, more for the massage than anything and yeah I know it's too much. Only regret is not sticking my head into TV room to see the rest of the gals but the few I did see were kind of dumpy 5's, younger than my gal and KOREAN.

Checked out Spa88. Different above descriptions. Maybe it used to be different, but now it is a Russian spa. It is located at the corner of Fulton Street and Gold Street. I am clueless about this place. Received three great massages, but absolutely 100% professional. I thought I would get something, but nothing. The spa itself has a fee of $25 for the day (sauna, steamroom, pool, hot tub) and it seems to be populated by russian men and some young women. I'd like to find out what actually is going on. Any ideas? I will give it a try in the next week or two.
