As I was coming down the stairs after going to Epsiodes, I passed what I thought was a classic "bust squad" being buzzed into the building ( 4-5 guys and one woman, one carrying a Firemans Claw ). I had noticed one of them out in front before I went in, and something set my radar off, so I walked past the building while he rang the bell and got buzzed in. He must have gone up, found the proof he needed for the bust, and returned later with the squad. I left at 6:30PM and went across the street to see what transpired. After about 5-10 minutes, all the male patrons came out all at once, which was my confirmation that it was indeed a bust. After about another 10 minutes, three of the girls working came out. After another 10 minutes, the cops came out and got into an Aqua colored Crown Victoria with the rear windows blacked out which had been parked across the street and a Maroon mini van parked at the hydrant in front. I don't think they took anyone, but by this time I was watching from across 8th Ave, since they had obiously eyeballed me on the way in. They definietly did not take Denise ( she's hard to miss ), and there was definietly somone left upstairs ( I could see when they looked out the window by moving the curtains ).
Another 1 minute and I still would have been inside when they came up.

Good timing slinky!
Did the guys look upset, like being ID'd, not by getting interrupted? If they let those guys go I wonder what the point of leaving someone upstairs was. If they were going to arrest somebody to make a point, why wouldn't they arrest someone they caught in the act?
Maybe Rudy want's to make a big splash before he says goodbye.

I couldn't tell the looks on the guy's faces from across the street too well. As I said, i don't think anyone got busted and taken in. One guy was actually buzzing after they went in. Initially, they ignored him, but after a little hile they buzzed him in. He was back out again in 30 seconds. Since all the guys came out at roughly the same time, my guess is they held everyone, took ID ( or not ) and let them all go at once. When I said they left someone upstairs, I meant Denise and/or some of the girls, not an officer.
Actually, I come away from this with 2 things:
1) Julie was absolutely right that guys are not being taken in, and
2) They will probably get busted again real soon ( but the next time it might not be as pleasant, and they might get the "orange sticker" ).

No matter how tight you make your security, or screening process, if someone wants to take you down... oh well.
I never did fault Julie for not taking new customers. It might even be a good idea to take new customers solely on the basis of personal reccomendations or sponsorship, with the sponsor's membership responsible for the sponsoree's behavior.
Hey, didn't the Freemasons start this way? :p:p:p:p
I love making these faces :p:p:p:p

It sounds as though the "Quality of Life" bill was being enforced, and a padlock occured. No one ever gets arrested, when a apartment of "ill-repute" gets shut down by the city of New York. We have Guiliana to thank for that one, gentlemen.
BTW, tankcommander, how do you make those green smiley faces. They are so cute!
The only other face that I know how to "draw" is the devils face on yahoo! screens... it's >:)
(but, it won't come out on this page).

TankCommander, when you suggested, "It might even be a good idea to take new customers solely on the basis of personal reccomendations or sponsorship, with the sponsor's membership responsible for the sponsoree's behavior," how were you envisioning this would this work? If all you know about someone is his handle and what you have read of his posts, do you think they provide a valid basis for making a recommendation? And would you truly feel comfortable in vouching for him as not being LE? Would you be willing to be rersponsible for his behavior in a brothel?
I recognize that you're empathizing with Julie (and others) who need to try to screen out the "undesirables" -- I agree with your intent, but I don't agree with your solution.
Which hits home with me on a more personal level -- I am trying to schedule a session with LI Dawn, but she has asked me to provide references because she does not know me. As far as I can tell, I do not know who anyone on this or other boards is in "real life" -- not that it would be impossible for someone on here to be my next door neighbor, my accountant, my boss, etc.
I would love to have one of you guys "vouch" for me to Dawn, but what validity would that have regarding her concern for safety? Does anyone have any suggestions?

HDB,
You are right. I know of instances where people were trading "vouching" to get into places ( including Episodes ) with guys they didn't know. I also know of an instance ( several years ago ) where LE was "vouched for" and that's how they gained access. One of the problems wit this "vouching for" is that there really aren't any "consequences" for the "voucher" if his "vouchee" turns out to be bad.
Now there are guys I would vouch for from "the Boards", but then again I've actually met a lot of these guys. I think a lot of the "vouching" wouldn't be quite as vetted as I would like.
The other problem with vouching is that it sets up the "voucher" in a postion to be asking for things from either the "vouchee" or the "establishement" for his part in the transaction. And that's a slipery slope.
we need a hobby escrow account.

Is there any sense of when LE tends to make its visits? Late afternoon? Evening?

I've seen it in the evening ( 6, 7, 8 PM ) and I've seen it in the afternoon ( 1, 2, 3PM ).
the most common time is 6-8pm, but recently, they come at all hours.

HornDogg, the best person to have vouch for you is a provider. A provider vouching for you is as good as gold.

Vouching is a verydifficult animal to control. Remember that Al Pacino vouched for Johnny Depp in Donnie Brasco, and for that, he got "taken for a ride" in the middle of the night.
When vouching takes place, somewhere along the line, there are risks. It also means that somewhere along the line, there are records of who's vouched for, and who's vouching for whom. Very risky as well.
As slink has said, there are guys I've never met, who I can vouch for. Guys like Carl M, who's set me on some nice tail, and a guy who used to go by Hardhitter, who I've traded numbers and references with.
The thought is that it takes time and effort to get vouched for, especially if we start restricting that process and make ourselves more exclusive. LE would go all out on the Mob, but for independents and small houses, I think it would be a waste of their time and money, and I think they know it.
Too bad there's no national database for prescreened clients and providers that magically screens out LE.

I told a provider from Long Island who posts here that I would provide her with references from an escort and she hasn't even replied as of yet.
my vouching fee's start at $50 a session.
but the more under the radar they are the higher the fee's

Either that or you provide GFE (or is that BFE?) to Ozzy first and then he decides if he refers you.
It was worth it

Currently LE is letting johns go and concentrating on incall places, only to disrupt the normal flow. It appears that Rudy wants to go out "without a bang."
