There are plenty of women walking around during the day and much more at night. You'll get "the look" and will know they are working. You didn't say whether the place you staying at will allow guests so I think the only "incall" (if you want to call it that) place in Sosua is La Passion. It's located on the street with the most stores, Pedro Clisante. An even better place is in Cabarete, about 15 minutes from Sosua, called Casa Equipo.

A good source of information for you down there is a guy named Lou. He is from New York and lives in Sosua. He owns a bar called the New York Shark Bar. It is down the street from a disco called Seacrets on Pedro Clisante.

I recently stayed in Costambar right outside of Puerto Plata in a small hotel that caters to americans and brits...cant mention the name because they cater to a private clientele but for the same cost of staying in sosua you can stay at this place which is not blackbeards but is close to it. I found it on yahoo groups under villa_oasis. Pretty highend place at a low price with a golf course right across the street. Nice thing is the guys there call the girls right in for you...enjoy. happy mongering.

guys , i was in DR last year, nothing like it..sosua is THE place for fun.i stayed at this place called sosuapalace...website is sosuapalace.com, owner is New yorker, his managerwill arrange goodies ( if the old one is there) u can brin gin guests, your safety is guaranteed at this place from local thugs etc..as this guy knows some big wigs...place is a little off track..end of road..but u can walk to beach in like 15-18 minutes..see if it works for you.

There's a place in Sosua called La Passion. It's kind of a Dominican R&T but you'll get a lot of mileage.

Bar closing times extended
The Tourism Office has sent round a memo informing bar, restaurant and hotel owners (places where alcohol is sold) that the closing times are now extended to 1am during the week.

The meeting with Leonel The 2am closing time for weekends remains the same. This measure will be re-evaluated in one month's time, and the decision will be taken then as to whether or not closing times may be extended further (2am during the week and 4am at the weekends).
According to President Leonel Fernández, the earlier closing times of the past few weeks have resulted in considerably reduced crime rates. According to the government, night-time robberies and burglaries have been reduced by half, which is a very positive result, and gives sufficient reason for the President to continue with these measures.

Just booked a flight to Santiago from 11/09 - 11/13 for myself and a buddy. We of course will be heading to the Puerta Plata area. Do not know where we should stay as yet, Blackbeards, Sosua, or Cabetete. I have been on JimmyD site, and another, but find too many differen reviews pro and con. Anyway, just wondering if anyone else is going?? So far it looks like Blackbeards unless I hear different. Want to book the hotel b4 weeks end.

i have this guys number somewhere, his name is Danillo... i will look for it it should be about half that if im not mistaken. jimmydr would be able to help you with that im sure.it might be a little more than $35 because gas has gone up but that sounds like way to much.

The DR is pussy heaven. Blackbeard's and Sosua are both awsome places.

It is more of a crap shoot, however, to find a quality companion in Sosua. The looks and performance of the women are usually of a lower standard. A newbee can also be hustled or robbed in as much as these girls are more hardcore. I recommend Sosua only if you have a budy who knows the scene or if you have the time to develop a personal connection or a GFE with the women there.

I find that Blackbeard's Puerto Plata provide the best setting for price and quality. The environment is safe and the rates are set in stone. Blackbeard's rates are 1500 pesos - ST / 2500 pesos - LT. Club Mango in Puerto Plata is also a better mongoring ground for quality than Clasico in Sosua.

Crystals and other tourist hangouts will hit you up for a 500 pesos bar fine and the girls will ask for another 3000 pesos. These girls, however, are the blue chippers among the DR companions. They are usually worth the asking price. I went this route on one occasion and had the evening of a lifetime

I went earlier this month. I flew into santiago and took a taxi to Caribe Tours (bus) for $20us. (you may haggle to $15, only 1 taxi there at the moment and I did not want to wait) Then Caribe Tours (for $3us) stops in Puerto Plata and last stop is Sosua. Total trip 1.5 hrs about.

Depending on where you decide to stay you can taxi or motoconcho (only if you have just a backpack) from your drop off point to hotel/condo. When i left Sosua I took a taxi to Santiago airport, wanted $70, haggled him to $60. Negotiate everyone, including chicas.

I went solo to Sosua and had a great time, but I like to be on the prowl. If you want a more laid back environment I've been told that's Blackbeards.

I decided to just go ahead with this guy named JJ who has great reviews down there for the 70 ea. way. It will actually only be 35 ea way, because I am going with a buddy and we'll split it of course. JJ has a world of info, and during the trip he will inform us of most all we need to know. Yes its fine, just watch out for pickpockets and don't go down dark streets at night alone, use common sense...don't let chicas alone in your room or leave any valuables out...otherwise the strip you're speaking of where Classicos is there are tourist police and bar security all over till closing. thousand = mil. go to target or best buy and get a cheap translator- near the calculators. use it to calculate your exchange rates, talk to chicas, order meals, negotiate. write down some phrases. carry a map. Most doms are friendly and understand some english, you should be fine.
imo Classicos is great, Sosua life is good too, they're about 200 feet apart. supposed to be 2 new spots opening by end of year. going solo? If you'd be more comfortable with a guide let me know.

Was there from 11/9 - 11/13 and had a blast, took several pics had 7 girls in the 4.5 days I was there. Most I paid was 2500 pesos which computes to 75 US dolars for all night. But she was a raving beauty. The others were either 1000rd, or 1500 rd depending on time of day. Hotels, food etc are so inexpensive. Classicos rocked but get crowded and hot even with ac at night after 11pm.

I been going to DR since 1982, when it was uncharted territory. Go to the Capital that is where the fun is.

Sosua has to many fags, mostly German and Americans. If I wanted to hang with them I would go to Germany or South Beach.

Best place to meet the women? Paco's on Conde street. A lovely street side cafe, with 24/7 foot traffic. Lots of non pro babes, looking for a nice guy to take them to dinner, club, and it's understood, back to the hotel. There are also pro's pretending, to be college students. All will show you a great time.

The biggest problem with the DR now is that it went from a 24/7 town to...

Sun - thur lights out at 12:00
Sat and Sun lights out at 2:00

This recks the fun somewhat, which is why I have discontinued my bi monthly trips.

Where to stay? I like the Capital. Hotel? I like the hotel Lina, nice hotel, has a buffet restaurant, nice bar with live music at night, and a casino. Always girls hanging around.

You will have to pay a few bucks extra if you bring a girl with to your room at night. I do not mind, because most of the better hotels do not allow you to take girls up to the room, unless you checked in with them.

Hot spot for girls? All the cab drivers know were to take you. Or just ask the door man, he has a book of phone numbers.

This is all you need to know to have a great time.

go to Sosua (north coast), you can fly into POP and its right down the road. has 2 beaches, restaurants, nightlife, casino and lots of chicas. you can get by on minimal spanish here too- unlike the capital or Santiago.

ps sosua is safe and you don't need to rent a car either it's a small beach town

go to Sosua (north coast), you can fly into POP and its right down the road. has 2 beaches, restaurants, nightlife, casino and lots of chicas. you can get by on minimal spanish here too- unlike the capital or Santiago.

ps sosua is safe and you don't need to rent a car either it's a small beach town

A thousand Peso is about $33 USA

It is short term I think, these girls do not time you. A few hours. Not sure if they stay all night for that price.

Actually, in any of the large resorts there are tons of attractive girls working. If you are decent looking you can get them to go out to the discos, etc. at no cost. Of course, what you do at that point is up to the both of you but there is fairly easy pickings from the staff right at your hotel/resort. The one caveat is that they cannot hang with you at your resort if they work there. Have fun but be safe since the DR has a statistically high rate of HIV.

I flew into Santiago on 11/3 and flew out on 11/8 . went to stay with my girl in Cotui (middle of the island, it sucked). I did get a day in Santiago alone. Traffic up the ass, all through Santiago. Went to Kelvin carwash... it sucked, about 6 or 7 girls no higher than a 5. dead all night. Left at 10:30 to find Pasion, took me almost an hour but i found it. airfare is less than $400 round trip in january tax included on continental. i booked last month for $299 round trip. new garden is around 50 a night or so i think. good location, central to everything. i havent stayed there but a lot of mongers do. if you can speak a little spanish you dont even have to pay, i do that when i go alone but if im with a group i pay so i can just toss the girl when im done. if you go to sosua hit passions bar and massage during the daytime ...$30 for a massage and a bbbj.

You can try Costa Rica. I made my first trip there last year and had a blast. You will find inexpensive girls from all over Latin America. Jaco Beach is one of the more popular spots. The beaches in Jaco are not that great, but its a huge surf and party town and there are chicas everywhere. Other areas of Costa Rica have the more beautiful beaches but not as many girls.

In San Jose, the city where the airport is, hit up the Hotel Del Rey. You will see hundreds of jaw-dropping latinas all available for the taking.

I been to most parts of DR, and I always wind up back to the Capital. I am not much for the beach, hate hot weather, Most days I stay in my room untill 4:00 pm, when it cools down.

Swig - I do not go to Sosua, I know it is the spot were many DR girls from all over the country go looking to make money from the tourists, and is the spot were tourists go looking for the women.

The Capital is much different then Sosua and Santiago. Bigger, there are shopping areas, attractions, good size casinos. It is the Capital, the biggest city in DR. I do not rent a car in DR, they drive crazy!!! I take Taxi's, I know many taxi drivers who I can call, or I take a Taxi at the hotel. There also lots of radio cabs, I am usually with a girl, so they call for me.

If someone wanted to go down there around that time and meet up, we'd have one hell of a day I can guarantee that! I just don't wanna go down there blind and spend the 1st few days figuring everything out. Any help would be appreciated!!! I'm not going for the sites. :)
