Excuse the beginner's question, but what is JAG and ***? Some kind of review boards like UG? Would appreciate their URLs. Thx!

Both *** and JAG are hobby related message boards. They both have public and pay for sections. Unlike UG they both have extensive reviews.
JAG (http://209.236.222.188/)
*** (http://www.*********.net)
TER should be added:

Phantom, how do you consider a review extensive? I think some of the reviews on UG are quite extensive. Do you mean most (if not all) reviews on *** and JAG are extensive? I'm not a member of either of them, so I wouldn't know how good their reviews are. But why would they have more extensive reviews? Because they are pay sites? I don't think they pay users for writing reviews, do they? From what I've seen there, the main difference is they offer a search function to select providers according to the user's preferences. Or maybe I'm missing something? Peace......

By extensive I mean the large number of reviews as compared to UG. The subject matter contained in each review varies greatly. Some give very little info, while others are very detailed.
Before JAG went outright pay, membership was gained and mantained by writing reviews.
While I doubt that sites such as TER, *** and JAG pay for reviews, it is not uncommon for guys to write fake reviews for whatever reason. As in the case of JAG before it went pay to gain admittance to their database of reviews.

I don't know if Phantom is referring to the member's section of *** which I believe is a "pau" area, but the public/free *** boards NEVER allowed very explicit reviews of the ladies.
JAG is a review site that, despite being "infiltrated" by a few ladies, is generally a "men only" site where VERY explicit descriptions of acts and events were the norm, not only in the reviews but in the discussion boards. For a variety of reasons, JAG has gone quite a bit downhill, not only in the quantity and quality of ther reviews but the discussions as well. Many well-respected members of JAG have disappeared.
Here on UG, even though understandable terms such as BBBJ, DATY, etc are used to describe a session, they are not often used in reference to ladies who's presence is felt here. Those terms are generally only used when referring to a lady we know, or at least believe, is NOT in our midst. This for OBVIOUS reasons.

In terms of an extensive and comprehensive review site, TER cannot be underestimated. They have a great number of reviews. The reviews are usually done with a form so that all the essential information is there. Even though they are based primarily in southern cal, they have a great amount of info about providers in our area as well. If you are like me and very detail oriented when you chose the next provider to see, TER is the way to go.
I have no idea where some guys get their rankings though. I realize that a goodly percentage of posts are fakes, but some reviewers who can be deemed reliable through past sampling are not consistent.
I think that people tend to be more generous in the first few reviews they do. I also tend to think that any body type description other than thin or petite get's you someone who is out of shape. Or, the reviewers may be totally honest and just might be much older than I am.
By messing with TER's search function you can weed out many of the bogus escorts out there by cross-referencing phone numbers etc. The national discussion board there isn't bad for some of the topics on there. They also manage not to flame each other too much but the board isn't that busy. Good for checking every so often.
I do kind of like reviews without discussion boards. I tend to be antisocial though.

Well, it's probably because the discussion section is so strictly moderated. It's probably the only forum where posts are screened in advance. A while back, they were a bit freer and without the advance screening they used to have some wild fights on the board. It was much closer to UG back then. Now the TER discussion section seems to have lost a lot of life along with the advance screening and strict moderation by the staff. Their best forum has got to be the erotic highway. Check it out if you have a chance.

At one point, JAG was the only place online (that I knew of) where you could find lengthy, lightly edited reviews. It was a pretty small community and members frowned on (and bitched about) useless reviews.
I haven't read JAG in months, but the quality of the reviews had gone down some towards the end.
