I have a last minute oppurtunity to be in the dominican republic for buisness this weekend and next week. I could pass on the trip, which is my choice, but I really would not mind a few days at the beach. I would however have to travel alone. The hotel is in the cabberette area which I know has a lot of oppurtunity for random hook ups. I have to say I would really only be intrerested in something a little more "stable" meaning one or two girls to hang with at the beach and obviously a little extra going on. The buisness part time wise is pretty manageable, but I I want more of a GFE kind of deal. Does anyone have any information on how I could set that up? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My other advice is to go, enjoy, and keep your mouth shut. These asshole, looser's, making web sites about the prostitution in DR, and spreading the world thru-out the Internet, via web sites and party tours - in an attempt to make a few bucks, is fucking up the scene.

Prostitution is illegal in the Dominican Republic. It is over looked for now, but they are now starting to clamp down. Many massage spots have been shut down by the Government. All it takes is the word from the President, and engaging in prostitution can become a serious crime overnight. The President now in power is from the Communist Party. Changes are occurring, faster then you would believe. He already set a 12:00 AM week night and a 2:00 PM Friday and Saturday night cut off on liquors sales. Clubs must also be closed, and it is also somewhat of a curfew. Remember it was a 24/7 town before that. It was great!

I been going there for over 25 years, and can see the direction the Government is taking. Maybe when Prostitution becomes a serious crime, and the whole business ends, these stupid idiots will be happy to travel 27 hours to Thailand.

This is correct, but I found that some of the all inclusive spots - The Hilton in Boca Chica, have girls that hang around the disco, and Casino. They know the help and you can get them to the room.

Also, if you find a chick you are really digging, you can get them a day pass.

I like the Capital. You can find women everywhere, and there purpose is not to prostitute themselves. I enjoy hunting them down myself, knowing that 98 percent of the time I will spend the night with them.

Nice report! That is excatly what I thought the place was, and how they handled the women. I could see how many would like this place, but it is not for me.

I do not like the beach towns. I have been to most parts of the DR over the past 25 years, and enjoy the Capital most. Some of the small towns traveling to the South are real cool. Hang out in local spots, and pick up women. It is refreshing to pick up women who do not sleep with you two minutes after saying hola, and do not ask you for money! I have local friends, who show me around, without them it would be hard, and not much fun.

In the past I would spend up to a month in the DR, so I would look for good hotel rates, and have to budget myself. These days I spend a long weekend and go. I stay in a four star hotel. Always have light, AC, hot water, and most important - 24 hour room service, banging all night can make you real hungry!

It is very easy to find your way around Sousa, most know what the gringo is there for. I would guess that the hotel does not take any money from the girls. The head girl who finds them for the boss may take a small piece of the action.

I went to Negril about 18 years ago, to club Hedinisim. It was an inclusive place (meals, drinks, shows, included in price) The place had an underlining promation as a "sex club". I read many articles about in different adult mags (now I realize that they were written by the Hedinisim) The place sucked!!! There were about 20 guys to each girl, and most of the girls were not attractive. I also remember the ride from the airport to Nigril as long and scary. It was a two lane winding road, and the driver drove like a maniac.

Back then it was easy to get tricked, there was no internet.

If you are in Negril you want to head west on the little road that runs along the strip of hotels. That would be in the direction away from the airport in case you dont have a compass. at some point you will come up to a little shanty town where there is a bridge where the road goes over an inlet which i think comes in from the ocean. Anyway. stop there and look around. there is opportunity. I actually had the concierge guy from the hotel take me on a mongering tour. Just tip the guy 10 bucks and he will not only go with you, find the girls and make the deals, but make sure that you and your money are safe.

Sosua is very Gringo friendly. I visited over two years ago, with a couple of friends, and we had barely a few words of Spanish amongst the three of us, and had no language issues at all.

I would also recommend a visit to Puerto Plata and Playa Dorada. There is very nice night club in playa dorada, I think it was called Mangoes, or something like that. Very lively, loud place with excellent music and a great mix of pros, semi-pros and non-pros to be found there. Also, crystals is a great full-service strip club in Puerto Plata. We really enjoyed our experience there. Crystals is definitely pricier compared to Sosua, but has great talent and nice atmosphere.

We hired a guide/driver from Sosua who spent 10-12 hours driving us from Sosua to Puerto Plata and Playa Dorada. Split three ways, the cost wasn't all that much.

Just one word of caution: If you are into the casino scene, watch out! There are several casinos all over DR running major scams. A lot of tourists (including myself, unfortunately) have lost large sums of money at these scams. One particular scam they run there is a game called Super Keno. Somebody who is very close to the resort, speaks good english, but is not nessecarily affiliated with the resort. for me... i just met up with one of those vendors working out of a beach hut just over the boundry line of the resort. it was like a 2 minute walk from where my SO was sleeping. I told him what i wanted and what time. The first night... the guy flaked out. The second night, i worked a deal with a different vendor and everything came together perfectly, (that is except for the small matter of a guy with a shotgun).

Puffin, Sorry for the delay, been busy. theres no informal listing.. look up hotels in sosua that are guest friendly. That way you can bring back whoever you want. You dont need a cab driver in sosua for anything.. you dont need anyone or anything in sosua. Just go and you will find. I recommend the new garden hotel. It's loaded with mongers.. The manager jokes that its the biggest whorehouse in sosua (He's right too). introduce yourself to the guys hanging at the hotel and theyll steer you in the right direction (that direction may start with the girls hanging around the hotel pool that are going to come over to you and start talking to you when you lay down to get a tan and look in their general direction) trust me.. you cant miss.. sosua has a club called "After One" which is in the new casino , near the beach. the way around the curfew is the casinos. before they did the same thing at the old casino ... it would go after 3 or 4 maybe still does but i doubt anyone goes there., whatever time the clubs closed. slim pickins at that time, you gotta be out early other wise you get sloppy seconds or a skank.

Two totally different places, but the DR is much cheaper hands down. you can get a hotel for $50 in the DR not 5 star but clean and adequate with a fridge and a safe. Montreal is probably closer to $100 a night. I dont know how much you drink but beer is $3 in the disco in Sosua. Women you can get a 10 in the dr for $125 a night if you go to crystals or if you have patience and get lucky you get a real hot girl for $80. Montreal used to be good when we would get 150 canadien for 100 but now your basically looking at new york prices , but decent quality. Food is cheaper in DR too although much better quality in canada. I liked both places but return to Dr 3 times a year. I was in montreal maybe a year ago. airfare to montreal would be half the price if your talking flying from new york.

Sosua is awesome!!! I came back yesterday after a 4 day trip. Had a great time, the ladies are awesome.
