Don't know if anyone else has noticed, but CL is deleting posts like crazy. See it one minute, then gone the next. Plus volume is WAY down from normal.
Anyone know what the deal is? If this source dries up anyone have tips on anything else?

I believe someone said CL was bought by Ebay? If this is the case you can say goodbye to anything remotely porn related. You can see this happened with Ebay and PayPal merged. PayPal no longer accepted anything porn related and if you tried to sneak it past them you're account was frozen. So look for 100% of anything nasty to be removed from Craigslist in the near future. This is all IMHO.

I too have noticed that CL deletes posts. I wrote a negative review of a provider and found my post was deleted a day or 2 later. I have sinced learned that the other person complained to CL and they deleted it.

craigslist was in fact bought by ebay and ebay was merged with the feds due to the fact of tax evation on sales which is a fed crime. now the feds are all over craigs working with local law enforcement on internet drug sales, internet p********* (inside info)
hasnt anybody noticed all of the new disclaimers in ref to pics and new terms and agreements on postings
one disclaimer states that ::::::
craigslist may supply information about your identity to law enforcement officers in response to legal subpoena
Its the ppl on craigs that caused this in the erotic services section to be heated up so the feds and local men in blue have the owner of craigslist backed up against a wall especially the erotic services section especially in long island, the way the guys bash girls threaten each other the whole scene on craigs is soon to be coming to end i think.

Don't know what the deal is, but some posts seem to stay on while others are zapped immediately. Don't know why some are OK and others aren't, but surmise that some type of filter is picking up and deleting most.
I am sure that the providers will get wise to this and cater their posts accordingly, but if this is true, it does seem it is just a matter of time before they pull the plug on it all together.
All I know is I finally have squirreled enough $$ to see some providers and I'm looking for something new and interesting and CL was always the first place to check. But, some good leads right here on UG that I am following up on.

The reason why the volumn is WAY DOWN is becuz they're also blocking personal computers that have accessed the site frequently as providers. Also seem to be a blocking system for all the ports uptown. People might have problem with posting in general during the day at all categories during high volumn time in the day.
Pretty scary, this had started last wk, and the process is in progress.

well hopefully this will cut down on certain agency's spamming the hell out of the board every day with mutiple listings in a row. apart from that it seems big brother is finding new ways to track and record info about people. Keep an eye out for some of our favorites dissappearing and more stings being set up when laws governing the internet change. I'm sure the word intent will appear and people will only have to think about something illeagal and get busted for it.

This sounds plausible. eBay makes tons of money off Mature Audiences listings and auctions. In fact, I think M_A is one of their most heavily populated categories!

So far, it looks like just the opposite (a higher percentage of the ads are multiple posters)

Hope you take the time to rewrite your review here. Which is where it should have been in the first place ;)

I am convinced that aggressive pimps have figured out how to flag competitors postings. That's why the asian ads stay up, and the others get deleted.
