My favorite song that has some sort of reference to prostitution is:

The Boxer by Simon and Garfinkle, or is it Garfunkle?

See the stone set in your eyes
See the thorn twist in your side
I wait for you
Sleight of hand and twist of fate
On a bed of nails she makes me wait
And I wait....without you
With or without you
With or without you

Through the storm we reach the shore
You give it all but I want more
And I'm waiting for you

With or without you
With or without you
I can't live
With or without you

And you give yourself away
And you give yourself away
And you give
And you give
And you give yourself away

My hands are tied

How about Motley Crue's " Girls,Girls", the whole scene is of hookers, showing their cleavage and bending over!

Dire Straits - from the Brothers in Arms album - "Your Latest Trick".

"All the midnight bargains have been struck, between the satin beaus and their belles,
Prehistoric garbage trucks, have the city to themselves.
Echoes, roars, dinosaurs, they're all doin' the monster mash,
And most of the taxis and most of the whores are only takin' calls for cash." (The sax intro that precedes this opening is a rock classic.)

in seeing him she knows him less
his stick is wet she's half undressed
and all in all they're both obsessed
with so much nothing

i know it's hard for you to see
what lies behind's a mystery
if words could speak they'd mean even less
when the king is half undressed

Sitting here and catching up on several days "news", I popped in a CD I haven't listened to in a while, the Smithereens' 11. While not on topic, the first 2 songs seem pretty appropriate considering the subjects being posted about lately:

"A Girl Like You"

&

"Blues Before and After"

Good stuff.

Dixie Chicken" by Little Feat

i see the bright lights of memphis, at the commadore hotel
and underneath the streetlamp, i met a southern belle
oh she took me to the river, where she cast her spell
and underneath the moonlight, i sang the song so well...

if you be my dixie chicken, i'll be your tennessee lamb
and we can walk together down in dixie land, down in dixie land.

An absolute classic! One of the best cuts produced by a fantastic band that never acheived the commercial success they deserved.

The day Lowell George died..

I was playing in a softball tournament in St. Regis, Montana (blink and you miss it)..between games I went to Sadie's Cafe (great food) for breakfast. Picked a copy of the Missoulian off the counter and there was the story.

I loved that band, saw em four times..once for free , on a bill with Bonnie Raitt.

I later found out what caused the heart attack..yes, he was overweight, and drugs were involved. Also 16 year old twins.

A great group.

Is this the same song that is a staple of every strip club in the tri-state area ?
(singing it in my head while visualizing Bada Bing type ladies).

Peace Out

Garfunkle.

Just a come'on from the whores on 7th avenue...... I do declare there were times when I took some comfort there.

OOOOOOOOHHH, i need a dirty girl!
