are there any real ads on CL, or is everyone BS? a tremendous waste or worth mining? same goes for TER, shills or reals, & EROS, close to real photos or...?

The good finds on CL are few and far between. Once in awhile one pops up, but not all that often. It takes a great deal of hard work to find a real gem amongst all of the bull shit on CL.

I've had better experiences on CL with the ads that don't post pictures but will ****** them to you if you sound sane and serious in your initial ******. This seems to be how the non pros or occasionals prefer to do things to maintain their anonymity--the ones that post are pros or agencies and I would be very cautious about the pictures the agencies post. Although quite a few of the (incall) amps post real pictures. Still, CL is like the wild west so be cautious.

WILD WILD WEST craigslist is. Very hit or miss.... Needs much patience in trolling.... sometimes non-pros will pull ads after their needs are fulfilled. So you'll never catch an old ad....

I have personally had very close to a 100% success rate with Craigs List. I think the secret is very simple: if it looks or sounds too good to be true, it is. If it sounds like the ad is bullshit, it is. If a girl says she "needs to get fucked right now", its bullshit. Its simple common sense. I have found that it is pretty easy to weed out the bullshit from the true independants who have real pics and delivewr what they promise - just put aside your wishful thinking and do a little reality check and you will have a very good rate of success.

I agree, but the spam quotient has really gone through the roof - in the last two weeks the number of messages that get past my CL spam filter has more than doubled. And the posters are getting smarter, imbedding phone numbers into images which effectively outsmarts the filters.

Anyone know how to write a filter that would screen out all posts containing images?

It's not quite the same thing, but I've noticed that the spammers who are currently flooding the board never put ages in their posts, so if you enter a number in the minimum age box (I used 20) it will screen out all those posts. Of course you run the risk of screening out some legitimate posts as well, but I think the vast majority of bona fide indies/sem-pro's include an age in their posts.

I've found that keeping current (i.e. scanning the posts daily) I can spot the BS posts pretty easily now. Of course looking only in NJ or NY-sub category NJ there aren't nearly as many posts to review. Many of the spam posts don't contain a location (they are posted to multiple CL city sites) and are generic in nature so its pretty easy to just pass them over. Common sense in scanning the headlines also helps weed out the junk posts. That said I've only found 2 in the past few months that were worth persuing beyond an initial *****. I did come across one that I'm certain was LE. Typical type of add from a woman in need looking for $$. Refused to put any detail in ***** about what she'd do in return, pressured for me to state what I wanted in detail in an ***** before her response despite multiple *****s from me asking her etc. Refused phone # exchange until things were explicitly stated by me etc. Gotta be "extremely" careful out there, especially in how things are worded in an ***** with an unknown contact. If they aren't willing to state what arrangement they want first either in ***** or over the phone I'll pass.. better safe than trapped by LE. Remember, they posted the ad, they know what they want if its legit they shouldn't be pressuring you into incriminating yourself.
