I was wondering, which new governor we will get on tuesday? Who will be best?

Whose gonna be best for the LE issues?

Candie, Without getting too deep into this political mele, i'm hoping that McGreevy wins, if only because he seems to be the lesser of two evils. I'm not really impressed with either candidate's records. They BOTH seem to be spending more time on what the other has done wrong than on what they're gotta do right!! I would really like to see these negative political ads abolished--but that will never happen. I think the best thing to do on Tuesday is first go and vote--no matter who you vote for, and then go and see your favorite provider!! This way, at least something good will come out of the day. Let's hope there's a full staff on at Amber's Tuesday!!

Candie, Hi. Amber as in "Amber & Friends" aka NNJ Escorts. She seems to have a good group of gals working for her lately. And she keeps adding more each week. I wish you were closer to northern NJ--I'm sure i'm missing out on a great provider.

HP, You continue to be a very funny guy!! I wonder how the name Amber came up in the first place?

Candie, Maybe when you return from Vegas, we might get together for a little post-election erection!!

"a little post-election erection"

1) Exactly how little ?

2) as opposed to picking the "most popular escort", which would be.........

Slinky, You know what all the "little" guys say "It's not the size of the wand, but the magic in it" or something like that. And by the way, did YOU make your favorite provider happy yesterday?

Voted for Schlueter as Governor of NJ. Only candidate that promised to do anything about property-tax reform, the real thing NJ needs. Have met many famous politicos in NJ, know some of them personally, and can report that one such gombeen man (now in the catbird seat as a result of McGreevy's win, but who shall go unnamed for obvious reasons) was quite fond of going to NYC brothels some years ago (AMP's especially) and coming home drunk as a lord afterwards. Liked watersports too as a suprise sort of horrific domestic practical joke. Doubt that he or any of them would sponsor any legislation legalizing such activities though. Cynical game for very cynical people who should not be allowed to breed.

Judge... No offense, but were you at the brandy before you wrote that? :)

I truly had a hard time making out what you are driving at.

"Schueter", "Gombeen man"???

All I can do is point out that the need of property tax reform issue is a direct result of the previous Republican governor's income tax reform issue.

All she did was create a situation where taxes that were paid across the board by all income makers were now being moved to the shoulders of real estate holders.

It was blantantly obvious, so I don't know why anyone fell for it.

State costs are "X". They remain at "X" even though the income tax coming in is lower then it had been, therefore the state is sending less money to the cities and counties.

The cities and counties still have to meet their bills and the only way they have of raising money is the property tax. Hence, they raise those. Its bloody obvious.

The only way to reduce taxes is to reduce costs or raise productivity. Same way as the only way to loose weight is to eat less or exercise more.

A gombeen man is the term that used to be employed in Ireland to describe rent collectors and other such dregs of humanity whose sole function in life was to act as agents of the wealthy (landlords, etc.) in their dealings with the poor. It is considered highly insulting to call someone a gombeen man. Thought it accurate to describe the unidentified policitian in my post.

Grew up hearing any number of such phrases and words since my mother was born in Ireland. Strel (sic), for instance, is the word used to describe promiscuous, loose women. Used to know how to say the Hail Mary and the Our Father in Irish when I was child too, and had a grandfather who could play the bagpipes, accordian, tin whistle, bodhran and any number of other instruments. So such words have meaning to me.

As far as Schlueter goes, think he would have been best for NJ because he expressed an interest in dismantling the present method of reliance on local property taxes to fund education and other important local functions. Certainly would mean a rise in other taxes which would not do me much good, but would improve funding for education which is sorely needed in NJ. On balance, I thought that best.
