He probably needs the address and that is the reason he called. If you don't have a membership card they are not going to let you in.

I had the same problem-I called to find out where it is and got a recording of a guys voice telling me to leave a message. They have enough people that they don't want my money? What's the deal? I am willing to go through screening, but I can just see this guy calling my office. Anyone have any suggestions? I never went to any of the *** parties. Does that mean I'm out?

I thought it gives those who don't want numbers on their cell phones another option for finding out who's there.

It had to end sometime.

I for one loved this place, but in a city like this the good places rarely last.

First time I was there I had tons of fun getting dances and chatting with the girls. I remember Devon, Charlie, even the odd girl "Love" was really a sweetheart with emotional problems.

Almost three years and most likely 20 vists later I stop by for what turns out to be the last time. No more white girls, for a long time. This time some small WOC begs for me to splurge for a BJ (50+room fee+entrance fee). She then gripes that I didn't cum in under three minutes (hard to cum when a girl is angrily workin it, rollin her eyes like "just cum you mofo!"). I was out the door none too soon. Never went back.

Sorry but the place was no more fun.

Yes it was run into the ground.

Yes
it was run into the ground. I agree. an unnamed girl there told me joe was always drunk. After the "little man" was forced out, the place went steadily downhill. Would love to see a similar set-up somewhere besides "the spot". I guess thats because i never found out the location. lol

The Spot crew are good businessmen. That's why I don't like their place. But they are the survivors. Tina is gone. S5 is gone. They're still around, at least till the cops get around to them.

The little guy was a customer. That's why we liked the place when he ran it, but he got burned badly (a couple times. Last I heard he was going to lose his other place). I really doubt he'll start something else.

As one who worked for them, (I handled this board, that's why I use this logon) I think the problem was price fixing.
There were a couple of women who told all others to charge $20 a LD. The look on the guys faces when they were told this was one of amazement.
The women in charge of this edict have no conception of good business. I wouldn't even try to explain that charging less brings return customers. 80 % of business, any business, is return customers. My dad had a dress shop, I ought to know. I discussed this with the moderator of this forum, (who recommended me for the job {many many many thanks}) and he unequivocally concurred. A setup like that should have been crammed every night.
What a hangout. I managed to hang out with just about everyone in the back. If people had, they shared. Customers. Workers. Former workers. A lot women came to work just to hang out. They came to make money, but if they didn't, they still had fun. I never saw so many women come back just to visit.
I don't think the women were greedy. Just unrealistic, uninformed about the nature of the business. These women thought the main fare was VIP and were not concerned with LD. Had they seen the type of cash generated in the Harmony, they would have seen could haverealized having their cake and eating it too.
We had more than 1500 registered members. There are but so many professionals waiting to spend triple digits a couple times a month much less a couple times a week. I know I'm not one.
They lowered the tip in so it would take less to pay the house. Did the girls charge less or take what was "usually and customary"? No.
Well, not all of them. Where guys messed up is bargaining with someone and saying "Well XYZ on charges X dollars". That get's XYZ in trouble because she either thinks X dollars is too much, needs the money at that moment (yes it is negotiable if the cell phone bill is due tomorrow), likes you (some guys make women more comfortable) or a combination of the aforementioned.

They used the mentality that mainstream clubs charge $20 so will I. The fact of the matter is the mainstream is commision, the dancers don't get the whole money. There's more to it than that, every setup is different. In the long run, less is more.
I used to get to the Harmony (22nd, Church and Angels) when they opened, left when they closed...as often as I could. (Okay the two financial district locations were a 20 walk and 10 min run from work and I worked evenings.) This place was no different, just more fun. Yes there was a greater volume, and variety of women, but the kind of fun found at the Studio was unparalelled.
The music was not too loud and I had fun even when the place was "slow".
Most of the ladies at S5 were great fun. And Southern. A class by himself. I never got to hook him up they way I desired because I learned about the closing on short notice, but good things happen for good people. Life will reward him where I could not.

I never posted an official closing, because I held hopes of a reopening, since that will not occur, I'd like to thank
everyone responsible for the concepts of Studio 5. Security was
the best and I always felt like it was "my place".
Best of luck to all who crossed the threshold. I met a lot of fun people.
And guys, if you get a good deal, remember women are the pioneers of networking (gossip). What you do will be communicated to others: how much you pay, what you do for your money, what you want for your money(yes even women who say they can't stand another female). It's business.

I do miss the place. Very relaxed and safe atmosphere. Great girls.

Hope it won't be too long before another place like it opens up.

Funny how it's either feast or famine. Not too long ago there were many places to choose from.

I'm sorry you're out of a job, pal. If the monkeys running the joint would have taken every customers advice about installing a stripper pole, and having constant shows, you would still be raking in $$.

That was the beauty of the harmony. You could walk in with $50 and a six-pack, and spend a full afternoon. An afternoon with about 8 decent lapdances, and fingering half a dozen cunts and assholes (without washing your hands in between).

With all the pimp wanabee's on this board, I'm surprised no on'es gotten their act together. How much money is ther to be made?

The broad who owned the harmony, owns 2 buildings (that i know of) in tribeca. and she started by giving $5 blowjobs. let that be a lesson for you all. god bless that kraut jizz drinker.

I liked this place at first, cute girls like Destiny (where is she now ?) , Charlie, and Devon ( who's still around ), reasonable prices, and LOTS of fun. But after awhile , there was hardly anybody there (I recall a FRIDAY evening about 8PM last summer when there was only one other customer in the place besides me!). And with that lack of business, came an increase in desperation among the ladies, and an increase in the "hard-sell" that I hate so much. I'd go to places like that to relax and unwind, but the atmosphere became too stressful, and i just lost interest

Hi all,

This is my first post. Hope I get this right.

Now it looks like Studio 5 is closed. Does anyone know of a place like Studio 5? If so please pass the their contact info.

Also, does anyone know where some of the girls from Studio 5 hangout these days?

Thanks in advance for any help.

High pressure angry women, nobody there, nothing but "hi... do you wanta BJ"... and if I said no "You'll like it". Maybe I'd relent, but then and she'd gripe I didn't get off in 30 seconds as she angrily worked it. Oh yes- such a turn on when a woman is angrily sucking it.

Where have all the hot friendly women gone? Has anyone been to any of the "fetish" parties on CL? Any action there? And no, despite my foot fetish it's not enough for me to caress a domme's arches.

I think the action at those parties is becoming less and less as time goes by. I know several of the women there who "used to" now don't.

I'd agree. My next-to-last time there, I ran into a girl I had seen at another party maybe a week before. At the earlier party, she gladly took $10 for a LD. She had even made it a point to tell me that LDs were $10 (as if somone tried to hand her $5).

At Studio 5, however, this same girl told me that LDs "are $20 here." I told her that I only pay $10 for a LD, and reminded her that we had just done that the prior week. She repeated that that they are $20 at Studio 5, and then called another girl over to back her up on this point.

I explained to her that she sets her own prices, the place didn't set it. She still didn't seem to get it. So she got $0, instead of $10.

The next (my last) time there I ran into the same girl, and we went through the same thing. As I got up to leave, I decided to explain the concept of penny-wise, pound-foolish to her. I explained that the girls who made A LOT of money off of me were the girls that didn't nickel and dime me, and gave me more than my money's worth.

1. Accept my offer of $10 for a LD, and I'll partake. Perhaps several.
2. Make it a really good one, we'll go in the back and I'll spend a lot more.
3. Show me a really good time back there, and I'll be a repeat customer and spend gobs of money on you.

Or, keep doing what you're doing now, and you won't make squat. Or keep asking me for another few dollars, and piss me off, and you'll only make a little until I get tired of you.

There are several girls who have figured that out with me, and I have given them extraordinary amounts over time.

I told her to think about that, and I'll see her next time.

I never made it back before they closed, but I meant what I said. I hope she gets it. But I doubt she will.

I loved this place in the beginning and I still regret not ever gettig the chance to do anything with Cindy. But the last few times I went I was the only customer and the girls still stuck to their $20 lap dance fee. I couldn't understand how the place was surviving. Oh well, at least it never got busted.

Cindy is still around..... you just have to hit the places she's around at.
