It's a lesson I could have done without...

But thankfully, I've also gained some real and dear friends from my days here, not to mention a whole new appreciation for the value of simple honesty and real kindness. Maybe I'll come back someday, maybe I won't, but either way, I am grateful for the good things that came out of my participation on UG. No matter what anyone else thinks of my posts, I did try my best to contribute some truth and insight to the conversation, and at least once in a while, I know that I succeeded.

Anyway, I wish all of you the best and good luck -- try to treat each other well, and remember the Golden Rule...

I feel a bit silly writing about this ticking time bomb I've visited with before with no problems but this situation went from bad to worse.

Orginally he attempted to bareback sex during our last session by saying that other ladies offered it.

But I can't let the implied relativism here stand without some brief comment...

My dispute had to do with a material exchange (if you accept a web site as material), and the terms of that exchange, and explicit commitments made and then broken. It was a contract dispute, more or less...maybe not in the full legal sense, and the object of the dispute may be of questionable value...but very much like a contract dispute.

Your dispute with CB, like most on UG, is personal and doesn't go further than that. There is no contract in question, there is no particular gain involved, there are no particular spoils being fought over.

So I think the two are different.

Which is not to say that I've never been in other board disputes that were like yours with CB. I am "human, all too human".

But the 4 MC's dispute *was* different.

Ya know I thought the same thing a while back, but then there is too much evidence to contradict this assertion. I remember Daniel NYC did review Cat and it was positive- actually his review was the basis for my interest. And it is generally known HvB is supposedly dry-docked with Hombre, and not providing at all. Besides HvB is much more PMB savvy than Cat, read both their styles and there is a vast difference in logic and method of approaching subject matters on a PMB. That is why Cat was so refreshing, she was not as cynical all the time and constantly making references to insider jokes no other person got but her and a very limited few. Besides although they both write quite well, it would be hard to imagine an individual schizophrenic enough to house an HvB and another personality in the same body. Like I said before she can be a bit much at times, even though she means well by it.

However, I do definitely suspect there is more to Cat than meets the reader’s eye. I think she is great and all, but I suspect she may be a repackaged entity. Which is fine, just wish I knew who she was in the previous incarnation. IMO I think this is why HvB smelt something funny about her. The lines between being UTR and openly available are a little too murky with her, although I do not believe she intentionally does this, I just think it is a byproduct of knowing the business too well. Furthermore, HvB does also offer the opinion that Cat may be blurring the lines between commerce and romance a bit, which may also be a source for the “catch me if you can- although I post here often” approach to getting a “date” with Cat. Unlike with people like Kimmie, who have an ad here and are easily accessible, and make all so clear that any encounter is for commercial purposes only. Unless you wish to buy her a beer and hang out, then there’ll be no horizontal Mamba involved.

1 - Thanks for answering; may I assume that you mean that literally and seriously, as opposed to being flip? If so, it is too bad I can't tell my colleague about it.

2 - Having met none of you and knowing next to nothing about who AL is/was (just a name on apparent UG/JAG historical import to some...about all I know), I have no basis for a firm statement one way or the other. And, although it is my fairly definite opinion that you and cb are (very) different people, I have to admit 1) that I am wrong about people (and other thing) sometimes, fairly frequently in fact and 2) that I do know of cases in which a single person has done a good job of simulating two different screen personas who hated/fought/flamed/persecuted each other...for the attention it drew I always supposed. Vegetarians don't eat meat, and some do and some do not define seafood as meat. I think the voluntary aspect only applies to humans. i.e. infants breastfeeding.

Although I suspect they would allow for infant animals to breastfeed from their mothers, and unhatched chicks to eat the yolk of their eggs.

A big problem is what to do about those nasty animals like dogs and cats that like to eat other animals. So they make soy dogfood and catfood.

Swatting mosquitos is an even deeper philosophical problem for vegans. As is trying to get rid of cockroaches and mice from an apartment. Roaches rarely leave voluntarily.
