What you are missing in your statement is that a club owner who knows that reviews of his place are constantly being posted on UG may want to side with the customer instead of some twit who he can easily replace.

i hope you are correct about the power of this board. it would be nice if something could help establish a sense of fair play in our hobby. as i posted above, i myself frequent the full service clubs in bridgeport connecticut; and when a dancer changes a price or decides to walk away before the job is complete, there is basically no recourse. in addition, my statement regarding the bouncers and owners ciding with the dancers is borne of experience as a friend of mine almost got the crap beat out of him by a bouncer after a dancer decided to renegotiate and quoted him a higher price AFTER completeing the service. unfortunately, this bouncer was seemingly unconcerned with the power of this or any other board.

Consider this: If I were running a business (I am) and I was interested in extracting as much money as possible from my customers (I am) and still have them smiling and coming back for more, the last thing I would want is one of my employees ripping off a customer. There simply isnt any upside in it for me.

Places like Club Babylon and Xdreams spend bucks advertising to get customers. Per dollar received advertising to get a new customer is very expensive; having a repeat customer is a much more profitable way to go. Negative advertising (such as bar press on UG) borders on flushing money down the toilet.

Does this mean that you won’t get the crap beat out of you if you complain to a bouncer. No it does not, but they are doing that for reasons other than profit. I would consider it very unlikely to happen in CB or XD or for that matter in an AMP. If fact last year I did a post describing a complaint I made at an amp and the immediate freebie I got to make good – several of UG’ers asked for the girl and told her about the post.

By the way - did you or your friend ever go back to that bar?

Also, I frequent the Bpt clubs a lot, and the situation you described is a bit different there. Telling a bouncer that the girl did not give you FS (after all, it is a strip club, and that's illegal) might not always work in your favor. But, I would still let someone know you were not "satisfied", and go from there. What wildone described is even worse, where the girl took his tip (which implied something, right?) and just sat there. The management of this place knows the tip is for more than just sitting with you for 10 minutes. The key is not to be a jerk about it, but definitely make your point in a nice way. And, ultimately, vote with your wallet next time.
