IF YOU ARE NEW HERE: DO NOT BE ALARMED IF YOU TRY TO START A NEW THREAD AND YOU CAN'T. WE DON'T ALLOW PEOPLE TO HAVE THEIR FIRST POSTS TO BE NEW THREADS BECAUSE WE GET TOO MANY SPAMMERS. WE APPRECIATE YOU COMING HERE, ESPECIALLY IF IT IS TO WRITE A REVIEW (MANY OF YOU MAY HAVE RECEIVED A NOTE FROM ONE OF OUR ADVERTISERS DIRECTING YOU HERE). IF YOU ARE JUST STARTING OUT AND WNAT TO WRITE A REVIEW, THERE ARE A FEW OPTIONS YOU HAVE:

1) Use the search function to find a thread already on the place/subject. You will be allowed to make a post in an existing thread with your reviews.
2) If you can not find such a thread, most local area sections have a thread "stuck" at the top for "new reviews" (example: http://utopiaguide.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34534). Add your review there and we will take care of the rest.

Also, we have a reviews database which we started, but never quite finished, but it still has quite a few reviews in it. You can add your review there as well (but please put it in the forums first for now):

******************************************************************
Rules:
This is a board dedicated to the discussion of topics relating to escorts and the commercial sex industry and is a mixed board, representing both the client and provider constituencies. The board is intended to be a balanced forum for discussion and interaction, where opinions of all parties are respected, but flaming and direct attacks on others is strongly discouraged. As such, and with the help of a few members, I have tried to compile a list of do's and don'ts:

ANYTHING POSTED ON THIS FORUM BECOMES THE PROPERTY OF ITS OWNERS AND MAY NOT BE REPRODUCED IN ANY MANNER WITHOUT THE EXPRESSED WRITTEN PERMISSION OF THE OWNERS

0) No self posting.
0.1) No ad posting.
0.2) No promotional posting.
0.3) No public service posting which just happens to let folks know where, when, etc. you'll be available.
0.4) No posting which has really good info in it, which just happens to be your website, e--mail, phone number, etc.
0.5) No ad posting.
0.6) No having your friends post your website for you.
0.7) No ad posting.
0.8) No posting asking if anyone has seen you, yourself, listing your website.
0.9) No ad posting.
0.10) Do not use threads as a means of "personal communication" with other members. In addition, please refrain from using "e--mail me". Anyone doing so will be banned immediately with no warning. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THIS RULE WITH "CREATIVE SOLUTIONS". . Anyone banned for any of the above, including posting their e*mail address will only be reinstated after paying a fine of $250 (or $1000 for "supply side" posters), and required to make a "public" apology.
0.11) If you think we're not serious about the above because you see people who have taken out ads ignoring the above GUESS AGAIN! They get SFT for taking ads out. In other words, if you haven't already figured it out, advertisers do get some perks, the main one being the exmption from the "no ad posting" rules, to some extent. So don't assume just because you see some advertiser making "ad posts" that it's ok for non-advertisers to do the same thing.

1) Thou shalt not post with a hidden agenda, nor knowingly post false information. Thou shalt not make assertions or accusations without stating their basis. Thou shalt use no racial or ethnic slurs, nor engage in the discussion of pedophilia of any sort.

2) Thou shalt not engage in flame wars or attempt to defame any legitimate contributor to this board. Thou shalt be fair and play nice, even if others don't. Though shalt remember that you are talking to real people. ( Sometimes the Internet depersonalizes our communications to the point that we become careless about how we speak. Ask yourself this question:"would I say this in a room full of people, many of whom I don't know?")

3) Thou shalt think, before you post, whether your post contributes to a discussion or just would waste the time of anyone who reads it (such as saying how hot a provider is every time she tries to make a substantive contribution to a discussion). Especially when posting on a sensitive issue, write a draft, save it, do something else for a while, then re-read your message and make changes if necessary, then post. Put yourself in the other person's place. Sometimes it is too easy to act without fully considering the consequences of our actions.

4) Thou shalt not attack someone simply for disagreeing with you. Thou shalt not try to cut off opinions that differ from yours, or have like-minded people pile onto someone who states a differing opinion. If a customer, thou shalt not post to "protect" favored providers.

5) Thou shalt not refrain from posting an opinion just because you're afraid it may be unpopular. If you are in doubt about something you are considering posting, ask the APM about it via e--mail.

6) Thou shalt refrain from overuse of "insider comments" and "private winks and nods". Always consider how your post/thread will be viewed by those who have recently joined us. Assuming a deep knowledge of the hobby and/or the community and/or this or any other board will make one's posts appear nonsensical to newbies. Perhaps posts will be completely misunderstood. It might take a few extra minutes, but try and fill in the blanks for those less "in the know".

7) Thou shalt try to be positive. There is an awful lot of fun to be had out there and this forum can help the effort. Do a self-check on your own posts to see if you might be in a rut. If so, perhaps taking a break from posting is the right thing to do.

8) Thou shalt not engage in any provider advertising or Sub Rosa promotion of the supply side, other than in the advertising/classified section,

9) Though shall not take anything too seriously. Remember, these are just words, and this is just a "Hobby Board".

10) Thou shalt remember that the board is only as good as you make it, or as bad as you make it. The members get all the credit for making this a worthwhile place to visit. Of course, there is a responsibility which comes with that, and it is also the members which can make it a place that no one wants to come

11) Please try to cut down a bit on the "hello there cutie" posts every single time anyone with a vagina posts to the board. Aside from being an incredible waste of bandwidth, it makes it harder and harder to read the threads for any meaning

12) If you post a thread, and it gets deleted, it means we meant to delete it. Do not repost it.

13) Don't pester the APM ( and don't forget 1 thru 11 ).

14) Don't post the same thing to multiple forums.

15) No ad posting. No shill posting. No ISO posting(except in the appropriate sections).*

16) Several of the forums have a "minimum post count" before you can start new threads. If you are new to the Board, you're just going to have to live with that. Try reponding to other people's questions before asking your own.

17) We reserve the right to make fun of stupid people; so if you're going to come here and be stupid, be forewarned that we are going to make fun of you.

18) Nothing on this website, in whole or in part, may be copied or reprinted without the expressed written permission of the owners of this site.

19 ) Everything is C9's fault.

20) Do not post links or refer to other forums or websites.

* For those of you who it is still unclear what an “ISO post” (In Search Of) is:

Any post which contains the phrases:

“Do you know of/Does anyone know of”
“Have you been to/Has anyone been to”
“What is the website/address/phone number/location/etc”
“Do you/does anyone have any reviews of”
“Have you heard about”
“Where can I find/get/acquire/receive/etc.”
“Has anyone seen recently/When is the last time anyone saw/Whatever happened to”

Example/self test:

One of the following two posts is an ISO posts, and one is not:

A) Parking Garage
Hi,
I'm not sure if this post should be here or elsewhere. I'm curious about Parking Garages. I know there is one in LIC right near the stroll and it seems like it could be either a good or bad place for providing/receiving.
Can anyone shed light on this for the uninitiated?

B) Motels near Scandals,Queens??
Hey all-I am trying to help out a friend-Anybody know a a short stay hotel/motel close to Scandals strip club in Queens?

thanks

If you cannot figure out which one is the ISO post, that should be a good hint that UG is not the right place for you to post.

20) Do not bump threads. If you don't have anything constructive to add, leave it alone.

Do not post links to other forum sites. Do not direct anyone to other forum/review sites. This includes ANY Yahoo Group of any kind, for any reason.

Do not copy reviews, warnings, "informational posts", public service announcements OR ANYTHINBG ELSE from sites such as CL, TER, T*B*D, etc. If it is not your first hand experience, do not post it here. If "your friend" experienced it, tell him to get his own account here and post about it.

Do not let anyone else use your account for any reason. Anyone caught sharing their account will be permanently banned with no qustions asked.

Do not repost anything from this website anywhere else. Do not "share" information from this website anywhere else. Don't try to get cute about what we mean. If you are too stupid to understand this, just leave.

If anything shouldn't be posted here, then hints around it also shouldn't be posted. From here on "cuteness" will not be tollerated here. If you don't know what "being too cute" is, just leave. If you think we're stupid and won't figure it out, just leave. If you can't live with the rules here, just leave. If you feel like whining about the rules or anything else, just leave.

22) Please do not post about anything you do not have first hand information about, or about which you know you can't post about on UG, or for any other reason that you would post "I saw on another website". In other words if you need to post anything which remotely resembles ""I saw on another website"..... DON'T.
