Selenas cannot be described as "picking up the slack" from Dumbarton and Nickels. There are no "extras" at Selenas.

As far as i know, there is no lap dancing at Ilda's Place. There are no laps at Fiddle and Bow either. What you get there is an air dance with very little touching for $1 tips.
BTW i read on another site that Mermaids has a private room now. Has anybody been there?

I've eheard from a couple of dancers who used to work at Citiscapes Nickels and Dumbartons that the club that is "picking up the slack" is Infinity. I beleve it's on Borden Ave & 27 Street. I was there back in August. Not that much of a selection, 4-5 girls Black and Hispanic and one white girl. Range: 5-6. Laid back atmosphere, checked out VIP w/ a dancer named Secret. Did 4 dances ($20 each) as the dances progressed, so did the roaming. YMMV. I didn't see any bouncer in the VIP room at all.

Funny that this post came up, I just went club hopping with my boy just last week, we hit all the QB clubs, Cityscape, Gallagher’s, Wiggles..etc.

They were all terrible, I was just looking for a place where the ladies were pretty raunchy and I can get a lap dance where I could actually touch, most of these places “don’t work like that at least that’s what they told me. the most touching you will get anywhere is at Gallaghers... there is like a 3 second rule. you can touch for 3 seconds at a time until the bouncer sees you. also depends on the girl. it is the best place of what is left out there

There are any number of mid-range places where you can get at least HJ's if you have any game in you and know how to work the system to make the dancers comfortable enough to deal with you.

There are low end places in places like Irvington, Passiac, Newark and Paterson where FS is easily gotten. The question is whether you would want to given the quality level of the dancers available. Certain individuals might find the neighborhoods they are located in a little, umm... daunting, as well. Totally depends on how comfortable you are in neighborhoods with lower socio-economic overtones.

Finally, there are mid-to higher end "gentleman's clubs" where take out isn't that hard to find. Again, a little game is required here but not so much that the average monger here, taking a little time to familiarize himself with the protocols, couldn't manage it.

I hate to reminisce, makes me feel old... Nickles, Dumburtons, Wileys, Penny Whistles, Vibrations, these spots were off the hook.

Last year I went to Club Rivera a few times. They have hot girls, but hefty price a privateprivate room. You also have no guarantee of anything more then a grind.

With Bloomberg going for another four years, I don't see the NYC scene changing anytime soon.
