Hey, even Allen is a "Junior Member", and I'm "All Powerful Moderator". What does that tell you ? ( boy, if you ever needed a straight line.....).

I'm hurt, disillusioned, and willing to see my plastic surgeon about fixing this small issue.

Yeah, 'junior member' has to go. What about just board member? Where is P when you need his thesaurus the most?

I still think MrNY's title should be put into place.

creative suggestions?
Suggestions:
Change the parameters to have the most recent posts at the top of the thread rather than the bottom
Like many boards that use Ultimate BBS or similar software, titles are given based on the cumulative number of posts made under one's registered name.
I suggest we change the titles to:
Lowest number of posts: Wallflower
Next level : Troublemaker
Top level: Loudmouth
OK, maybe my "titles" idea sucks, but number one is serious.
foX
who you calling a loudmouth? hehehehe
I agree with foX, last post rises to the top.

While "last post first" ( LIFO ? ) works well when you are always looking at posts, or when there are very few posts, it gets very confusing when there have been a bunch of posts since your last viewing. Most of the boards I frequent use "last post last" ( FIFO ? ), and a good number have tried it the other way and switched back.
I think it's one of those things which sounds good in theory but doent work as well in practice.
I agree with "last post last" format. Its used on the JAG forums and it makes things very easy to read.

another vote for last post first...
cause i like to be on top!!
JB
JAG has last posts last, no? I think also if a post has say more than 100 posts, if we can truncate those first 100 posts in a link and only display the more recent ones. Though that doesn't seem to be threating us right now :)
I suppose posting to this board is now much like the Olympics. Im guessing Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

frog,
I believe the script has the ability to split threads into "pages" when they get too large. On the "list page" you see the thread title and then little 1,2,3 and you can click on the page that you want to read. This way you can either start from the beginning or jump to whichever page you want.
